Our Innovative and transformative programs drive impact.
Stella's Girls partners with Maryland schools to deliver comprehensive Out-of-School Time programming that transforms youth into leaders. Our signature initiatives—Leaders Who Code, Emerging Coders, the Sunflower Project mental health mentorship, and Journey to Manhood—provide STEAM learning, career pathways, and social-emotional support across Charles, St. Mary's, Calvert, and Frederick counties. We track real outcomes: improved grades, stronger attendance, enhanced self-efficacy, and lasting educational achievement.

02. Colorful Pathways
Why Stella's Girls Champions STEAM,
Not Just STEM
At Stella's Girls, we champion the arts because creativity breaks down barriers. Arts integration makes technology accessible to all learners, especially girls and youth of color who may not have often seen themselves represented in STEM fields. When students blend coding with design, engineering with storytelling, and data with creative expression, they discover technology as a tool for self-expression and social change. By championing STEAM education, we ensure every young person can access the skills and confidence to become innovators and leaders in our digital world.

Hands-On Learning
Learners engage in hands-on projects to learn about coding, web design, cybersecurity, and more. This lesson is accessible and enjoyable so everyone may excel, regardless of experience.

Ambassadors are taught to educate peers about tobacco-related risks, using evidence-based tactics to promote healthy choices. They lead school and community tobacco-free initiatives.
Educating Peers
Beyond education, our ambassadors advocate for change by influencing local tobacco policy and practices. They collaborate with community leaders, run campaigns, and create public health discourse.
Advocating for Change
The Peer Against Tobacco Ambassador program aims to have a lasting influence on public health and empower students to lead change rather than raise awareness.
