Empowering Youth Through Meaningful Mentorship
Our mentorship programs are designed to offer guidance, support, and encouragement to young people across Maryland. By pairing them with experienced mentors, we help participants gain valuable life skills, build confidence, and develop positive relationships with role models in their communities.

The Sunflower Project: Nurturing Growth Through Mentorship

The Sunflower Project links mentees trained peer and adult mentors to help teenage girls navigate life. Our skilled mentors promote personal development, education, and leadership goals.
Mentors from diverse backgrounds give diverse ideas and experiences. They work with mentees for 4–10 hours each month to provide individualized and effective support.
Our monthly development plans help participants keep focused on their goals. We also hold community workshops to help other youth succeed
Journey To Manhood: Guiding Young Men to Success
Our Journey to Manhood offers mentorship for boys aged 10-19 throughout Southern both individually and in groups. We help and encourage young men as they grow into adults with our diverse mentorship staff.

Immersive Internship Experience
Our internships offer a valuable opportunity for young people to immerse themselves in the organization’s structure and daily operations. Interns interact with top leaders, tackle complex challenges, and build professional relationships locally and internationally.

Hands-On Learning and Leadership Development
Interns gain hands-on experience in various aspects of organizational operations and leadership. They are involved in meaningful projects that contribute to advancing girls in leadership roles, preparing them for future careers.

Opportunities in Maryland, Sierra Leone, Zambia, and Virtually
We offer internship opportunities both in-person and virtually. This flexibility allows interns to gain experience and contribute to our mission regardless of their location.
I remember being part of a program Stella's Girls ran during COVID-19 and loving the experience. I wanted to return to the organization that helped me develop a love of reading and supported me throughout this process.
