Brief Report On The Awareness Of The December 8, 2020 Senatorial Elections

Stella Girls-Liberia is a non-governmental that is involved in Educating and Empowering young women/girls to become better leaders in their communities and country at large in some countries around the world. We have taken on a self-initiative to enlighten some Liberia citizens in some of Monrovia’s densely populated communities concerning the upcoming December 8, 2020 Senatorial Elections.
As an organization, we have involved ourselves in carrying on this awareness wherein we speak to citizens that on election day, they should be very peaceful during the voting process and even afterwards. We are also encouraging and telling citizens that their vote is very important therefore, they should not do the following:
In addition to that, we have also involved ourselves in teaching first time voters on how to vote the candidate of their choice on the ballot box.
During our visitations for the past three days in the West-Point, Slipway, and Matadi Communities, we encountered some challenges. Some of these challenges we were faced with were:
In conclusion, most of them promised us that they will go to the Polling Stations on December 8, 2020 to cast their votes for the candidate of their choice and we were also appreciated by them for such an initiative that we have undertaken as an organization.
